Today was March 8, International Women’s Day, a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
As we strive for a more diverse workforce where everyone can thrive, Swissport is welcoming more women into all roles, particularly on the ramp.
All-female Swissport teams handled flights at several stations today.
In Sydney, we assisted Qantas with flight QF922 to Cairns which was crewed entirely by women, ‘from the cockpit to the control tower, ground crew and cabin crew’. The event was covered by national television news.
The campaign theme for International Women’s Day 2021 was ‘Choose to Challenge‘.
Thank you to everyone who got involved yesterday. And to everyone who helps make our workplace one where we can all thrive, grow and lead.
