Swissport will provide ground services for Citilink Indonesia’s new daily Melbourne Avalon Airport – Denpasar return service.
A subsidiary of Garuda, Citilink inaugural flight QG560 touched down on Saturday 25 January welcomed with Balinese dancing, Citilink branded cupcakes and special guests and Avalon stakeholders.
The state-of-the-art Airbus A320NEO, carrying 178 passengers and cargo will arrive daily at Avalon Melbourne at 8:50am and depart for Denpasar at 12:50pm local time.
Swissport Senior Vice President Pacific Rob D’Alessio said: “We are delighted to support Citilink and Avalon Airport with this important new service which provides a new quality low-cost alternative between Denpasar and the Melbourne and the Geelong region.”
The new services are projected to add 123,480 seats to and from Bali in 2020, contributing to a forecast 19.7% growth in seats between Victoria and the Indonesian hot-spot.
In Australia and New Zealand, Swissport offers ground handling services at 29 airports, partnering with all major domestic airlines and many international carriers in the region.
